The production and use of endosulfan shall be eliminated except for parties that have notified the Secretariat of their intention to produce and/or use it in accordance with Article 4 of the Convention. Specific exemptions may be available for the use of endosulfan for the following crop-pest complexes:

1. Apple - Aphids
2. Arhar, gram Aphids - caterpillars, pea semilooper, pod borer
3. Bean, cowpea Aphids, - leaf miner, whiteflies
4. Chilli, onion, potato - Aphids, jassids
5. Coffee - Berry borer, stem borers
6. Cotton - Aphids, cotton bollworm, jassids, leaf rollers, pink bollworm, thrips, whiteflies
7. Eggplant, okra - Aphids, diamondback moth, jassids, shoot and fruit borer
8. Groundnut - Aphids
9. Jute - Bihar hairy caterpillar, yellow mite
10. Maize - Aphids, pink borer, stem borers
11. Mango - Fruit flies, hoppers
12. Mustard - Aphids, gall midges
13. Rice - Gall midges, rice hispa, stem borers, white jassid
14. Tea - Aphids, caterpillars, flushworm, mealybugs, scale insects, smaller green leafhopper, tea geometrid, tea mosquito bug, thrips
15. Tobacco - Aphids, oriental tobacco budworm
16. Tomato - Aphids, diamondback moth, jassids, leaf miner, shoot and fruit borer, whiteflies
17. Wheat - Aphids, pink borer, termites
